A variable rate is a rate than can go up or down from month to month depending on the current market commodity price.

A fixed rate is a rate that will not change during the term of your plan.

How do I know when it is time to renew my current plan?

Bargain Energy will mail you a renewal notice in advance before your contract is about to end.

What are all these charges on my bill?

There are different charges from your local utility company such as delivery charges and transmission and distribution demand costs along with local/state taxes.

If I decide to cancel my service with Bargain Energy, will I be charged a fee?

Bargain Energy does not charge a cancellation fee, please see the Terms of Service for additional information.

How do I switch my Bargain Energy service if I am moving to a new home/business?

If you are in the process of moving please call your local utility company first to notify them of your address change. After doing so you are then able to sign up with Bargain Energy online, or call us at 1-888-633-4424

What documents do I need to switch to Bargain Energy?

All you need is your current electricity bill to switch and start saving.

Do I have to pay a deposit to enroll?

No, there are no fees or deposits to enroll with Bargain Energy.

Is Bargain Energy licensed to supply electricity?

Yes, we are licensed as a Retail Electric Supplier by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.

How long does it take to switch from my old electric company to Bargain Energy?

Depending on when your last meter read date was, it can take three to eight weeks. For more information please contact the customer services department your local utility company.

What if I owe PPL/PECO an outstanding balance, can I still switch to Bargain Energy?

Unfortunately, you must have to pay the balance owed to your utility company before you can make the switch to Bargain Energy. If you are switching from an alternate electric supplier, they may have a cancellation fee.

Will my power be cut off if I switch from my current electric provider to Bargain Energy during the switch?

No, you still be able to receive electricity during the transition period.

Should I call my current electric provider and let them know Iím switching to Bargain Energy?

No, you do not have to call, but you might want to call just in case to avoid any cancellation fee.

How do I switch to Bargain Energy from PECO/PPL?

If you want to switch to Bargain Energy from PECO/PPL, you might want to make sure there is not a 12 month stay rule, if you are required to stay with them for 12 months.
